German Cockroach

German Cockroach: size 5/8” long. brown in color, with two dark longitudinal streaks on their upper back. Male is light brown and somewhat boat shaped. The female is slightly darker in color with a broader and rounded posterior. Produces more egg capsules than other pest cock roach species.

Nest sites: Most prevalent species in and around homes, apartments, supermarkets, food processing plants and restaurants.  Favors a humid environment and an average temperature of 70 degrees F. They abound near hot water pipes, moist kitchen sinks, behind stoves and refrigerators, and in any cracks or crevices big enough for them to hide.
